About the venue
Hostačov is a 13th-century château set in 12 hectares of parkland, forest, and water in the Czech Highlands, about 70 minutes from Prague by train or car. The venue offers accommodation for up to 65 guests across 17 spacious en-suite bedrooms, several meeting and gathering spaces, a professional kitchen, and extensive grounds that can host outdoor events of up to 250 people in summer.
We offer flexible partnership — from light-touch operational support to full event co-production — including accommodation, catering, technical setup, program development, and on-site coordination, so organizers can focus on their guests and program while we take care of what happens around it.

What happens here
The venue follows a natural seasonal rhythm. Spring and autumn host residential programs — research retreats, workshops, educational gatherings, and communities that need time and focus. Summer opens the grounds to larger celebrations, festivals, conferences, and weddings. Winter is quieter, suited to smaller groups, writing retreats, and intentional communities.
Hostačov works especially well for gatherings with a serious purpose — research, education, leadership development, or creative collaboration — where the quality of the environment helps shape what becomes possible.
Who we are
Who we are
Hostačov is operated by František Drahota, who has spent the past decade moving between worlds — research and education, East and West, high-intensity coordination and contemplative inquiry — organizing events and building networks across Europe and beyond. The project is supported by a small investor group led by Philip Chen, who also serves as a director.
2026 marks the venue’s first full season under new operation. We’re transparent about being early-stage, and our pricing reflects that.
